Leicester’s rebuild is complete after the window closed, with 14 signings and over 20 exits following relegation to League One. LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that the Foxes strengthened across all four departments.
Several starters departed, while Russell Martin brought in players he had worked with previously.
Deadline day delivered three additions, as Emil Riis arrived from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, before Warren O'Hora and John Lundstram were confirmed after the Plymouth Argyle game.
Earlier additions included Conor Chaplin, Alex McCarthy, Christian McFarlane, Liam Cullen, Tommy Watson, Wes Burns, Franco Ravizzoli, Admir Bristric, Harry Howell, Ilari Kangasniemi and Kamari Doyle. Deals included Wes Burns for £75k and Ilari Kangasniemi for £2.1m, with several loans from Brighton and Manchester City.
Major sales saw Abdul Fatawu join Ipswich for £20m plus £3m in add-ons, Bilal El Khannouss move to Stuttgart for £14.6m and Jeremy Monga sign for Manchester City for £12.5m. Victor Kristiansen left for Panathinaikos on loan with an option, while Harry Winks went to Cagliari and Hamza Choudhury to Sheffield United, both undisclosed.
Patson Daka signed for Hamburg on a free, while Michael Golding, Logan Briggs and Jake Evans left on loan to Shrewsbury, Northampton and Cheltenham respectively. Releases featured Ricardo Pereira, Jordan Ayew, Asmir Begovic, Jamaal Lascelles, Wanya Marcal and Alfie Fisken, with further moves for Chris Popov to Hartlepool, Silko Thomas to Wycombe and Fran Vieites to Maritimo.
