Liam Delap hails Nottingham Forest move after stylish end to goal drought | OneFootball

Liam Delap says joining Nottingham Forest was a great decision after netting his first goal for the club in the win at Aston Villa.

The £45 million signing opened the scoring, Alysson equalised, then Igor Jesus netted late to secure Oliver Glasner’s first win of the season.

It was Delap’s first goal since January, when he scored for Chelsea in a 2-1 defeat to Fulham. He is relishing the prospect of regular game time since moving north.

“It's always nice to score, especially finishes like that. We know Villa play a really high line,” he told BBC Sport.

“I think I made a great decision to come here and hopefully I can play well.”
