Liverpool will challenge Arsenal for England misfit

Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for Trent Alexander-Arnold in recent weeks as the Gunners look to bring the Liverpool icon back to the Premier League if the opportunity emerges for him to change clubs.

Alexander-Arnold has been one of the best players in his position in the Premier League and has regularly shown that he can be trusted to deliver on the offensive side of the game. However, his defensive capability has often been questioned.

Arsenal believe he can perform well in their team and are convinced that the Englishman is a player they need. As a result, the Gunners are plotting a move for the defender if he becomes available.

The defender could be open to returning to the Premier League as he struggles for game time at Real Madrid. However, Arsenal are not the only club interested in bringing him back to England.

Liverpool are also reportedly in the race, according to Standard Sport, with his former team keen to take him back. Their interest could make the situation more complicated for Arsenal as they look to strengthen their squad.

Alexander-Arnold has a strong connection with Liverpool after being developed by the club, and that relationship could play a role in his decision if he has to choose between returning to Anfield or joining another Premier League team.

Liverpool Could Complicate Arsenal Plans

Liverpool would reportedly love to bring Alexander-Arnold back, giving the defender another option if he decides to leave Real Madrid. Arsenal will therefore have competition for his signature should the opportunity arise.

The Gunners believe Alexander-Arnold could make a difference in their team, particularly because of what he can offer going forward. His ability to contribute offensively has been one of the defining parts of his game throughout his Premier League career.

However, Arsenal could find it difficult to convince him to choose them if Liverpool make a serious attempt to re-sign their former player.
