Lyon ‘to sign’ Keito Nakamura on loan after Reims agreement

According to L’Équipe, Lyon have agreed a deal with Reims to sign Keito Nakamura on a €2m loan with a mandatory buy-out clause of around €11m, excluding bonuses.

The 26-year-old is travelling for a medical, however he will only sign once the departure of Malick Fofana, who is on the verge of joining Crystal Palace, is finalised.

Nakamura remains under contract with Reims until 2028.

He joined the Champagne club from LASK in summer 2023 for €12m.

For Reims he has 97 appearances, including 57 in Ligue 1, with 30 goals and seven assists. A Japan international, he has 29 caps and 11 goals, and featured at the 2026 World Cup with one goal and one assist.
