Mads Bidstrup’s first competitive start since 24 April with Salzbourg made an impression.
According to Le Progres, Saturday night’s Ligue 1 meeting at TFC featured a strong Danish contingent, with Noah Nartey and Mads Bidstrup for OL and Rasmus Nicolaisen and Thomas Jorgensen for Toulouse. After the 2-0 at the Stadium, Bidstrup joked it almost felt like playing at home.
The midfielder had not gone close to a full match since 26 April and had been itching to play.
On the eve of the game, Corentin Tolisso used his press conference to praise his team-mate’s mentality.
Now clear of recent physical issues and with his work rate evident, the Dane could yet push for a starting berth at the heart of Lyon’s midfield.
