Talks between Mamadou Coulibaly (22) and AS Monaco regarding a contract extension are progressing positively, as per a report from Nice-Matin.
Last season was Coulibaly’s first as a regular in the first-team set-up at the Principality club. He had started to break through towards the end of last season, following his return from an ACL injury. Last season, he scored three goals and registered five assists in 36 games in all competitions.
Coulibaly’s current deal with the Principality club runs until the summer of 2028, but Nice-Matin understands that talks to extend that deal further are progressing positively. The duration of the prospective new contract, however, has yet to be revealed.
The news comes just after Monaco also extended the contract of another academy player, that of Samuel Nibombe. Whilst it has not been made official by the club, L’Équipe understands that the defender has extended until the summer of 2030.
