In a recent report, Calciomercato claimed that Manchester United have set their sights on Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. It has been revealed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the French centre-back to Old Trafford next summer.
Kalulu is having an impressive campaign at the Italian club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 25-year-old has registered two goals and earned five assists in 35 matches for Juve this season across all competitions.
The French sensation is playing at a high level this season and is currently among the best centre-backs in Serie A. Therefore, it makes sense for Man United to move in for a defender of his skill set this summer.
His current contract at the Allianz Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Red Devils to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this season.

Kalulu is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team when defending inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive. Kalulu is primarily a centre-back but can also fill in as a right-back if told to do so by his manager.
However, the French talent might struggle to adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board at the end of this campaign.
We can expect Kalulu to bring more quality and depth to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s defensive department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.
At 25, Kalulu has got his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the Red Devils to consider this summer. However, Carrick has to give him some time to settle into life in English football before he can get the best out of the player.
