Olympique de Marseille are expected to start with a three-man defence against Union Saint-Gilloise on Tuesday night, one that may not contain captain Leonardo Balerdi or Benjamin Pavard, according to L’Équipe.

The publication reports that Marseille have prepared for the match without Balerdi and Pavard. During Monday’s session, the back three contained Michael Murillo, Nayef Aguerd, and Emerson. Balerdi and Pavard may, therefore, have to settle for places on the bench.

There are no returnees for Roberto De Zerbi to count on. The likes of Facundo Medina, Hamed Junior Traoré, and Amine Gouiri all, therefore, remain sidelined. The latter is expected back in January, having missed much of the current campaign.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to lead the line alongside Mason Greenwood.
