Matias Fernandez-Pardo leaves Lille for Newcastle in €65m deal | OneFootball

As expected, Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo has joined Newcastle in a €65m transfer, among LOSC's most expensive departures.

The move was confirmed by the English club, which said he has signed a long-term contract, without disclosing its length.

The Belgian winger has five caps. He spent two seasons at Lille, making 71 appearances and scoring 12 goals.

He had wanted to leave in recent weeks and has now got his wish, while Lille banked a sizeable fee. A week after selling Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City for €100m, this is a second significant outgoing. Lille also secured a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

His replacement is already in, with Japanese forward Ayase Ueda, 28, joining from Feyenoord for about €15m.
