Mikel San José has been granted a lifetime pension after injuries forced his retirement.

According to Diario Vasco, he won a legal dispute with the Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social.

The Tribunal Superior de Justicia del País Vasco confirmed recognition of permanent total disability.

San José is an ex-footballer who played for Athletic Club de Bilbao.
