Milan are reportedly planning another two signings following a long summit with Gerry Cardinale, but are struggling to find new clubs for Santiago Gimenez and Fikayo Tomori.

The Rossoneri won their first two Serie A games of the season, beating Torino 2-1 and Venezia 2-0, both times with important boosts off the bench.

The discussion covered the need for two new signings, one of which is to be a creative midfielder in the trequartista role.

They are to be the replacements for Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao, who made the move to RB Leipzig and Galatasaray respectively.

However, there are concerns that some of the players cut from the project are still on their books.

Negotiations drag on with FC Porto for striker Santiago Gimenez, with super agent Jorge Mendes at the helm to find a solution that suits everyone.

There is said to be confidence that Youssouf Fofana can find a new destination, but the biggest problem is represented by Tomori.

Although there had been interest from the Premier League with Coventry City and Newcastle United, nobody ever seemed close to sealing an agreement, and the offers have now dried up.
