AS Monaco’s injury woes have worsened further. Wout Faes was brought in as a response to the ongoing injury crisis at the Principality club. The Belgian joined on loan from Leicester City earlier this month, but he is already sidelined. He suffered an ankle sprain in the first-half of Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Le Havre AC and AFP now understands that he will miss several weeks of action.
In that draw, Faes was replaced by Eric Dier, who is only just back from injury. The Englishman did not see out the game, however. He went down during the second-half clutching his thigh. Dier has also suffered a thigh injuty this season although club sources state that this is not a reoccurence. With Christian Mawissa yet to return and Mohammed Salisu out until the end of the season, it leaves Monaco with just one fit centre-back, Thilo Kehrer. Jordan Teze, a full-back by trade, is expected to fill in against Juventus on Wednesday.
