Muhren snatches stoppage-time winner as Volendam climb to 13th | OneFootball

Volendam beat Groningen 3-2 at the Kras Stadion as Robert Muhren struck in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time to lift the hosts from 15th to 13th.

In the 16th minute, Stije Resink headed Groningen in front from a Younes Taha cross.

Just before the break, Yannick Leliendal was fouled in the box and VAR confirmed the spot kick. Bradley Kuwas converted in the seventh minute of first half stoppage time.

After the restart, substitute Aurelio Oehlers, on for the injured Benjamin Pauwels, swept in from Dave Kwakman's pass to put Volendam ahead (56.).

Thom van Bergen levelled in the second minute of second half stoppage time from Jorg Schreuders' cross, but Muhren won it in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time.

Kayne van Oevelen made six saves for Volendam. Groningen registered 28 attempts and 10 corners as they pressed, with van Bergen earlier striking the post (38.).

Next, Volendam visit NEC Nijmegen. Groningen host Ajax.
