Nottingham Forest agree £22m deal to sign Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace | OneFootball

According to NY Times, Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal worth £22m ($29.7m) to sign wing-back Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace, with the 30-year-old permitted to undergo a medical before completing the move. He is set to sign a three-year contract with an option for a further 12 months.

Should the transfer be finalised, Munoz would reunite with Forest head coach Oliver Glasner. The Colombia international flourished as a right wing-back in Glasner’s three-at-the-back system at Palace after both arrived in February 2024, one month apart.

Munoz was an unused substitute in Palace’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at Selhurst Park on Friday. He joined Palace from Genk for €8.1m (£6.9m) and has made 109 appearances.

Forest intend to make at least one more signing before Tuesday’s transfer deadline. Speaking after his side’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Saturday, Glasner said: “Let’s see (if Forest make more additions). It could be more. I am very confident that we will find and add the right players, the right profile and the right characters.”

Munoz signed a new Palace contract in April 2025 and has two years left on his terms. He recorded five goals and four assists last season and played 12 Conference League games as Palace lifted the trophy for their first European silverware.

Palace have already strengthened at right wing-back by recruiting Anan Khalaili from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in a £21m deal. Munoz is set to become Forest’s sixth addition of the summer after Liam Delap, Ousmane Diomande, Gustavo Sa, Xaver Schlager and Steven Benda.
