Nottingham Forest have enquired about Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, Marca reports. The Georgian international serves as back-up to Alisson on Merseyside.

He has made 20 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Valencia last summer, and was on the bench for Saturday's 2-2 draw at Anfield.

It is unclear whether Forest's enquiry concerns a permanent move or a loan. At this stage it signals only an initial check on feasibility, not a formal offer, with the window due to close on Tuesday, 1 September at 11pm in the UK.

Forest are also looking at Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson. Boss Oliver Glasner is thought to be keen to reunite with the former loanee at the City Ground, and they are understood to have submitted a bid after agreeing a £22m fee for defender Daniel Munoz.

Palace are understood to consider him not for sale. Henderson is the club captain and joined from Manchester United in 2023.

He spent the 2022/23 season on loan at the City Ground. He quickly became a fan favourite, playing a key role in Forest's promotion to the Premier League.
