Sky Sports Italy reports that Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign Fiorentina right-back Dodo, although the clubs remain apart on valuation.
It adds that Forest have tabled an offer of six million pounds. Football Italia reports Fiorentina want at least eight and a half million pounds and have rejected that opening bid.
Dodo is out of contract at the end of the season, having joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2022. Since then the right-back has made 163 appearances. Two have come this season, with the 27-year-old starting in the 4-0 defeat to Roma on Monday.
He has been linked with Forest throughout the summer, as Oliver Glasner looks for the ideal wing-back profile to challenge Ola Aina.
The Brazilian began at Cortiba, then moved to Shakhtar in 2018. With Fiorentina he has twice finished runner-up in the UEFA Conference League and also reached the Italian Cup final in 2023.
