Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Ousmane Diomande from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international has joined the Midlands club for a reported £34m, signing a four-year contract at the City Ground.
Diomande has featured for his country 15 times, and was part of the squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making one appearance during the group stage against Curacao.
The defender played 132 times for Sporting, helping them to back-to-back Portuguese league titles in 2023/24 and 2024/25, and was a mainstay in the side that reached the Champions League quarter-finals last campaign.
In a statement, Diomande said:

“I’m really happy to be here and excited for what’s coming. It’s a historic club so of course I’m very happy to be here.
“It’s very important to meet the players and from what I’ve heard they’re a very good group of guys and I’m really looking forward to meeting them.
“I watched some of the games last season and I saw great things. I can see that the club is big and this was a motivation for me in joining.
“I believe we can achieve really good things this season.”
Diomande becomes Oliver Glasner’s second signing of summer after former RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager joined the club on a free transfer in July.
