With fewer than two weeks until the window closes, Nottingham Forest remain active. Tuttomercatoweb reports talks for Fiorentina right-back Dodo are at an advanced stage, while BBC Radio Humberside has suggested a proposed Dilane Bakwa loan to Hull City may not happen.

Oliver Glasner has already added Xaver Schlager and Ousmane Diomande, with Steven Benda signed as back-up goalkeeper, and Forest are seeking further reinforcements under the new head coach’s approach.

Firenzeviola adds that negotiations for Dodo have begun and a breakthrough could arrive in the coming hours. The Brazilian has one year left on his contract and has struggled to agree an extension.

The 27-year-old has been with Fiorentina since 2022 and has made 162 appearances at right back. He came off the bench at half time in Friday’s 4-1 Italian Cup win over Benevento.

Bakwa joined Forest from Strasbourg for £30m last summer. He struggled to make an impact last season, featured in pre-season, and a departure in the coming fortnight would not be a surprise.

Meanwhile, Bild claims Fiorentina have opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen for winger Ernest Poku, who was linked with Forest and Sunderland earlier this summer. Leverkusen are said to want around €25 million, and there has been no concrete Forest move.
