Official: another absentee for PSG and Spain

Ferran Torres, the 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain and Spain forward, has joined PSG’s injury list. The Spanish national team officially announced in a statement that he has a left ankle injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the international break.

Ferran Torres is leaving the Spain squad training camp. The PSG Valencia-born international was feeling discomfort in his left ankle which, at first, did not prevent him from training or playing; however, with the symptoms persisting, it was decided to release him from the group in order to prioritize his recovery. The doctors of the Spanish Federation remained in permanent contact with his club’s medical staff from the start of the training camp, and the entire process was monitored jointly.

It is a real blow for the player, PSG, and Spain alike. Torres has been one of the in-form players at the start of the season, and people were hoping to see him continue in the same vein. Now, we will wait for more precise updates to find out when the forward will be able to return. We can still keep our fingers crossed for relatively good news.
