Official: Barcelona sign Arnau Casas | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week secured reinforcements to the club’s midfield ranks at academy level. This comes amid confirmation of a deal being put in place for Arnau Casas.

Casas, for his part, is a 16-year-old Spanish starlet, who chiefly lines out in the middle of the park. The youngster has long been held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape, tipped for a bright future.

Barcelona, after learning of these talents, therefore moved for Casas several months ago. The teen went on to line out for the Blaugrana in several youth tournaments in the final weeks of the 2025/26 campaign.

To date, however, his signing had not been made official by those in a position of power at the Camp Nou.

That was until Wednesday. As per a statement across Barca’s official social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with the player Arnau Casas for his incorporation into the Club in the youth stage. At the signing ceremony, he was accompanied by the director of Formative Football, José Ramon Alexanco.’

Casas joins Erik Domínguez as the 2nd youngster to have swapped Cornellà for Catalunya’s capital thus far this summer.
