Official | Coritiba’s João Almeida joins Le Mans | OneFootball

Le Mans FC have officially announced the signing of João Almeida (20) from Brazilian club Coritiba FC. The young Brazilian has joined the newly promoted Ligue 1 side on loan for the 2026-27 season.

A product of the Coritiba academy, Almeida made his professional debut there in January 2025, before going on to make a further 28 appearances (three assists) and helping the Verdão secure promotion to the top flight of Brazilian football within a year and a half.

A left-sided midfielder, the Colombo-born player is set to experience the first foreign league of his career. At Le Mans, Almeida will be reunited with his attacking compatriot Enzo Vagner (20), who is also on loan from Coritiba.

Les Sang et Or, who are back in the French top flight this season, have signed their tenth summer recruit, having previously bolstered their squad with the arrivals of the experienced Habib Diallo (31) and 2018 World Cup winner Djibril Sidibé (34).
