Official: Dominguez joins Sassuolo from Bologna with purchase option at €10m | OneFootball

Benjamin Dominguez has officially completed his transfer from Bologna to Sassuolo, on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for €10m, while Rafael Obrador is close from Benfica too.

The Neroverdi are active on the transfer market to give new coach Alberto Aquilani the required reinforcements this summer.

Dominguez underwent his medical tests and was given the all-clear, so has now completed his move from Bologna.

It is a loan with option to buy at the end of the season, and the fee for that is believed to be around €10m, according to Sky Sport Italia.

There had also been interest from Boca Juniors and Vasco Da Gama for Argentine, who celebrates his 23rd birthday next month.

Bologna had purchased the versatile winger from Gimnasia La Plata in the summer of 2024 at a cost of €5.2m plus a 15 per cent cut of the future sale fee.

Dominguez made 48 competitive appearances for Bologna, scoring four goals and contributing six assists.

Meanwhile, multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano confirm that Sassuolo are also close to agreeing another loan with €7m option to buy defender Obrador from Benfica.

He already knows Serie A, having spent the last six months on loan at Torino.
