Eintracht Frankfurt announced that Julian Etse has signed his first professional contract, only weeks after arriving from SSV Ulm.
The 20-year-old centre-back has already completed four full 90-minute outings for the club’s reserves. He has looked comfortable at Regionalliga level, delivering impressive performances.
Sporting director Timmo Hardung said Etse has made tremendous progress in recent months and highlighted his height, robustness and mentality as key attributes for the centre-back role.
He explained the deal provides a platform for the defender to continue developing at a high level and that Etse will keep playing an important role for the U21s, regularly gaining valuable experience important for his future.
Hardung added that the club will support him closely and give him the chance to adapt gradually to the level and demands of professional football.
