Unai Gómez has joined Udinese, the move confirmed at midday after the midfielder completed a medical in Udine on Monday. He has signed until 2031.
According to as.com, Athletic will receive a fixed 4.5 million fee, with a further 1.5 million in add-ons taking the package up to 6, plus a percentage of any future sale and a right of first refusal.

The 23-year-old leaves Athletic after 117 senior appearances and six goals across three seasons.
He departs with a Copa title, won on penalties in 2024 against Mallorca. In that final, Gómez came on in the second half.
The three-way agreement had been shaped in recent weeks.
