A free agent since leaving Hatayspor this summer, the Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar is making a fresh start in Azerbaijan. The 33-year-old Indomitable Lion has joined Neftçi PFK, a top-flight club, signing a one-year contract with an option for a further year.
Vincent Aboubakar needs no introduction. The Cameroonian international has been capped 124 times (scoring 48 goals) and won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017. He is the second-highest scorer in the history of his national team, behind Samuel Eto’o (56 goals).
