OGC Nice’s Victor Orakpo subject of Dundee bid | OneFootball

OGC Nice centre-forward Victor Orakpo (20) is the subject of an approach from Dundee, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Orakpo joined Nice from Bayern Munich’s academy. Despite initially impressing with Le Gym’s academy, he has found first-team appearances hard to come by, despite injuries in his sector theoretically providing opportunities. Last season, he spent spells on loan at Montpellier HSC and AS Nancy in Ligue 2. However, he struggled with both. 

Nonetheless, Orakpo has featured prominently in pre-season, largely due to the lack of competition up front. Terem Moffi is being pushed towards an exit, as is Mohamed-Ali Cho, whilst Elye Wahi has returned to Eintracht Frankfurt (for now), following the expiry of his loan.

However, Orakpo may not lead the line for Nice this season. The Nigeria youth international is even the subject of a bid from Dundee, L’Équipe understands, although this bid has been described as “weak” by the publication. Likely, therefore, that the Scottish club’s offer will be sufficient to lure the striker away from the Allianz Riviera.
