Olivier Bramly, head of LFP Media, has made the fight against piracy his priority as the league seeks to restore the value of its rights. L'Équipe reports that the LFP's commercial arm is banking on a sharper clampdown to entice broadcasters ahead of a forthcoming tender.

Bramly, who succeeded Nicolas de Tavernost last summer, is juggling several urgent files. Chief among them is a possible Ligue 1 rights auction, with domestic TV income for top-flight clubs currently tied only to Ligue 1+ subscriptions.

In that context, new anti-piracy tools are due to roll out from November to improve enforcement.

Bramly has set a target to block around 4,000 pirate streams per Ligue 1 matchday, as in La Liga.

The strategy is designed to make the rights package more attractive to bidders and support club revenues at home.
