One month after Santos exit, Tiquinho Soares returns to Botafogo | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, one month after terminating his Santos contract, Tiquinho Soares was announced as returning to Botafogo on Tuesday 26. He had originally joined Santos from the Rio club in January 2025.

Loaned to Mirassol in February, he scored one in 10 and had earlier been close to Grêmio before Santos blocked the move, viewing them as direct rivals. At Mirassol he received no salary, while the club paid Santos upfront and those sums were not passed on to him.

Council minutes recorded R$ 3.3m received from Mirassol and Santos covering his full wages. Signed in a linked deal alongside defender Jair’s switch to Botafogo, Tiquinho left Santos with 9 goals and 4 assists from 43 outings.
