Mohamed Ali Cho put Nice in charge in the 16th minute with a left-footed strike from outside the box, and the visitors beat Nantes 4-1.
Early on, Cho drifted infield onto a pass from Jonathan Clauss and arrowed low into the bottom left, a clean finish that settled Les Aiglons after a lively start from the hosts.
He struck again from the centre of the box (29.), arriving to sweep in Morgan Sanson's cross and give Nice clear daylight before the interval.
After the restart, Cho carried the counter threat, releasing Elye Wahi on a breakaway that flashed wide (50.). He then latched onto a through ball but dragged his finish past the post (85.).
The numbers underlined his control of the game: two goals from three attempts, three successful dribbles and five touches in the box, plus six recoveries as he repeatedly won the ball high to spring transitions.
Because Nantes pushed full-backs on and left space behind their midfield, Cho's direct running kept Les Canaris retreating and ensured Nice dictated the dangerous moments.
Les Aiglons rise from 15th to 13th in Ligue 1. They visit Ludogorets in the Europa League next, while Les Canaris go to Lorient in Ligue 1.
