Palmeiras trained at the Academia de Futebol on Friday morning after returning from Asunción, where they used Conmebol's facilities on Thursday. Paulinho remains short of the physical transition phase.
According to Globo.com, the forward is already working on the pitch under the health and performance staff, so he should not be named to face Vasco this weekend.
His recovery is being handled cautiously given his history of physical issues. He suffered a thigh muscle injury at the start of the month and should begin transition work in the coming days.
Sosa and Jefté continue working indoors. Andreas Pereira trained with the group after missing the 1-0 win over Cerro Porteño through suspension, a result that sealed a quarter-final place in the Conmebol Libertadores.
The morning session featured technical work on the pitch with small-sided drills.
The squad and coaching staff will train again on Saturday at the Academia de Futebol, and Abel Ferreira will finalise preparations to decide the starting XI. The Vasco match is scheduled for 16:00 on Sunday at Nubank Parque.
