Palmeiras hit four exits, two signings and three renewals as window nears close | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, with just over a week until Brazil’s window shuts on 11 September, Palmeiras have logged four departures, two signings and three renewals for the second half of 2026.

Goalkeeper Kaique has joined Sporting in Portugal. Forward Luighi has moved to New York City on loan and Riquelme Fillipi is bound for Inter Miami on a permanent deal, having signed paperwork and awaiting formalisation. Allan has moved to Manchester City in the club’s third biggest sale, valued at R$ 240 million in fixed sums and bonuses.

Kaique had only just returned from a loan and, as third-choice, saw a four million euro offer as a chance to play. Luighi and Riquelme were among the least used and, with sales targets in mind, were candidates to depart.

Allan had been in the club’s plans, something president Leila Pereira had stressed, yet the money on offer and the forward’s wish to go shifted the stance. The board will not spend similar sums on a replacement, considering only a lower-cost market opportunity, otherwise Abel Ferreira talks of solutions from within.

There have been only two mid-year additions so far, Barboza, a left-footed centre-back to broaden Abel’s options, and goalkeeper Bruno Bertinato, unveiled on Tuesday after Kaique’s exit.

The goalkeeping group now comprises Carlos Miguel as starter, Marcelo Lomba as the most experienced, Bruno Bertinato, 28, and under-20 Kauan Lima, who trains with the seniors while continuing to play in the youth side.

In July, Palmeiras offered about 28 million euros for Botafogo midfielder Danilo, but Botafogo chose to keep him and rejected the deal. The club are not pursuing another player in that role.

Contracts have been extended for Flaco López and Gustavo Gómez to the end of 2030, and for Murilo to 2029.
