Manchester City have completed the permanent signing of Allan from Palmeiras for 40 million euros, about R$ 240 million, on a deal to 2031, the club announced on Monday.
The forward becomes City’s sixth addition for 2026/27. He follows Elliot Anderson, Bouaddi, a midfielder formerly of Lille, Detourbet, a forward formerly of Troyes, Jeremy Monga, and goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli, formerly of Marseille.
Allan described joining City as the proudest moment of his life, calling the club one of the most attractive in world football after its achievements over the past 15 years.
City highlighted that he is the latest Palmeiras standout to move to Europe, following defender Vitor Reis, who arrived in 2025 and remains in the squad, and Gabriel Jesus, who signed in 2017.
He bid farewell to Palmeiras supporters last week before the Copa do Brasil tie against Santos, receiving a commemorative plaque on the Nubank Parque pitch from president Leila Pereira and academy coordinator João Paulo Sampaio.
Allan made 96 first-team appearances for Palmeiras, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists, and won two titles, both Campeonato Paulista crowns in 2024 and 2026.
