Palmeiras set 2027 plans, two goalkeepers out of contract at year end | OneFootball

With about two months of the season remaining, Palmeiras are shaping their 2027 squad, with almost everyone under contract and only the goalkeepers Marcelo Lomba and Bruno Bertinato out of contract on 31 December, according to Globo.com.

Bertinato was signed from Portuguesa in August after Kaique’s sale to Sporting in Portugal, and first-choice Carlos Miguel is contracted until 2030.

Key renewals have been agreed with Gustavo Gómez, Murilo and Flaco López. The plan is to retain the spine in 2027 with minor tweaks. It will be Abel Ferreira’s final contracted year and the last of Leila Pereira’s tenure.

Midway through 2026, Palmeiras felt they lacked only another midfielder. They tried to re-sign Danilo, but Botafogo refused to sell. A fresh attempt could follow after the season, though there are no talks now as attention is on the Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.

Following Allan’s sale to Manchester City, the club are close to their budget target and are not compelled to trade heavily. Bids for Flaco López were rejected and the intention is to keep him and Vitor Roque, named by a study as Brazil’s two most valuable players.

Academy products Benedetti, Arthur, Erick Belé and Heittor have drawn interest from Europe and could bring in funds. Seven loanees are due back, including Raphael Veiga, Luighi, Micael and Rômulo, none currently in the plans. The playmaker, Luighi and Micael have purchase options, while Novorizontino’s midfielder has overseas enquiries.
