Puma has indicated it wants to continue with Palmeiras beyond 2028, though no formal talks are under way. According to Nosso Palestra, the brand signalled in informal conversations a desire to stay on as the club’s kit supplier after the current deal expires.

The company aims to keep Palmeiras as its flagship team in Brazil and across the Americas, extending a partnership launched in 2019 that has already been renewed.

Any discussion over an extension could gather pace during the club’s next presidential cycle. The agreement, renewed in July 2024, runs until the end of 2028 and is worth about R$ 50 million per year, rising to R$ 60 million if targets are met.

The deal covers the men’s and women’s teams and all youth sides, with exclusive products for Avanti members.

Paulo Buosi, the current second vice-president, is seen as the governing group’s leading candidate to succeed Leila Pereira in the 2027 presidential election. Pereira has treated him as her choice for the next term.

Adidas, a former partner, held exploratory conversations about a return in recent months. It is moving towards an agreement with Santos from 2028, which is expected to rule out talks with Palmeiras for the next cycle.
