Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has deleted all his posts related to the club from social media platform Instagram after being told to leave.

The club have informed the Senegal international that he is on the transfer market, according to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Spurs’ decision has not gone down well with Sarr. His Instagram account currently has no posts, and he has also removed anything associated with Tottenham from the page.

The 23-year-old has dropped down manager Roberto De Zerbi’s pecking order following the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali in the summer.

He started 13 Premier League games last term, coming off the bench 13 other times. However, Spurs’ failure to qualify for Europe means Sarr will get fewer opportunities this season.

Galatasaray are hoping to sign him and talks are ongoing over a deal.

The Super Lig club have submitted an €18 million bid for the midfielder, but it was rejected as Tottenham want at least €25m for him.

Galatasaray are confident that they will soon reach an agreement with Sarr over personal terms.

Manor Solomon, Yves Bissouma, Guglielmo Vicario, Djed Spence, Cristian Romero, Radu Dragusin and Luka Vuskovic have left Spurs this summer, and Sarr is expected to be next.
