Paquetá ‘wants to play’ Kings League one day

Flamengo midfielder Lucas Paquetá has said he would like to play in the Kings League one day.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he made the remark during a broadcast on streamer Gaulês’ channel, adding that he now understands the format and can even explain it to those unfamiliar.

The Kings League is a Fut7 variant created by former player Gerard Piqué and has proved popular among professionals. Neymar, Gabigol and Diego Ribas are among the high-profile names associated with the tournament.

Matches use cards and dice, introducing non-traditional elements. One card allows a team a double-goal window for four minutes, during which their goals count double.

With Paquetá focused on the pitch, Flamengo face Bahia at the Maracanã on Sunday 19 at 19:30 Brasília time in the 12th round of the Brasileirão.
