Paris FC could reignite interest in Lucas Stassin

Paris FC’s return to the top flight has gone about as expected, following a 46-year absence, with the club sat in mid-table after the first ten games. This is likely where the club believed they would be as they adjusted to the demands of Ligue 1, even if they might have hoped that the significant summer investment from the new owners would have helped them edge a few more fixtures in their favour.

L’Équipe reports that one area the club feel needs improving during the winter transfer window is the attack, which has so far underperformed with Moses Simon, William Geubbels, and Jonathan Ikoné yet to hit the ground running in the capital with only three goals between the trio. The French outlet writes that Les Parisiens could be brought back to a summer target as they address this weakness.

Paris FC remain interested in Lucas Stassin

AS Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin (20) looked close to joining the capital side during the summer transfer window, with it being reported that he was at the airport when the move was called off following Les Verts placing a €42m transfer fee on the striker. Paris do not want to spend extravagantly, so it remains to be seen whether the new sporting director, Marco Neppe, can strike a deal with Saint-Étienne
