According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Josep Pedrerol used Sunday night's El Chiringuito on Mega to condemn Esteban Andrada's punch in the Aragonese derby, saying such behaviour could not be allowed.
The flashpoint came in the 98th minute as SD Huesca beat Real Zaragoza 1-0. The Argentine goalkeeper, formerly of Boca Juniors and Rayados de Monterrey, had already been dismissed after a second yellow for shoving Huesca captain Jorge Pulido.
Instead of leaving, Andrada lost control, sprinted towards Pulido and landed a heavy punch to his face, flooring him. The defender suffered bruising and swelling to his left cheekbone. The blow triggered a mass melee, further red cards and a security response.
Hours later, Andrada issued a public apology in a video released by Real Zaragoza. He said he was deeply sorry, accepted it reflected badly on the club and supporters, described it as a momentary loss of control, pledged not to repeat it, apologised to Pulido as a colleague and said he would accept any LaLiga punishment.
Zaragoza condemned the incident and said it would study internal disciplinary action against their goalkeeper. LaLiga's Competition Committee will now assess the case, with article 103 indicating a suspension of 4 to 12 matches, plus the penalty for the double booking.
