Pierre Ekwah leaves Saint-Étienne for loan to Auxerre | OneFootball

Saint-Étienne have loaned midfielder Pierre Ekwah to Auxerre with an option to buy. The club said in a statement that the move was completed on Wednesday.

Signed by Saint-Étienne in 2024, the 24-year-old embarks on a second straight loan after spending six months at Watford in the latter half of last season.

He adds depth to a midfield reshaped by Elisha Owusu’s departure to Erzurumspor and by injury to Assane Dioussé.

Ekwah is no stranger to Ligue 1, having made 29 appearances for Saint-Étienne in 2024-2025.

The following campaign proved more turbulent. He was kept out of the squad for the first half after refusing to play, then featured only seven times for Watford during his loan.
