Portsmouth beat Millwall 3-1 at The Den, climbing from 20th to 19th after a clinical second half spell.

Gustavo Caballero broke the deadlock in the 46th minute, rifling in from a tight angle after a fast break.

Before the interval, Nicolas Schmid twice kept Portsmouth level with sharp saves from Femi Azeez and Jake Cooper as the Lions pressed.

John Swift doubled the lead with a composed finish from the centre of the box (55.).

A shift from the bench gave the Lions a route back as Macaulay Langstaff teed up Casper de Norre to slot low into the bottom corner (64.).

Marlon Pack restored daylight three minutes later, smashing in from a corner (67.).

Portsmouth were the more incisive outfit, registering 15 attempts with seven on target. The Lions saw more of the ball but fashioned only six attempts and three on target.

The Lions remain third in the Championship's play-off places. Next, the Lions host Birmingham. Portsmouth visit Wrexham next.
