PSG have an agreement in place with 16-year-old Laciné Megnan-Pavé on a five-year deal and have made multiple bids, including one around €10m, to Montpellier, with talks ongoing. Paris hope to close a deal.

The French champions have worked quietly on this move in recent weeks. Foot Mercato first reported their decision to target the forward, who is under contract at Montpellier until 2028.

Multiple offers have been made to Montpellier, but the current feeling is he will remain. Club staff are said to have secured assurances he will not leave and plan to give him minutes this season.

Talks over Megnan-Pavé ran alongside negotiations on the loan of Naoufel El Hannach. Discussions over the central defender stretched into recent days, with Paris seeking a broader agreement before allowing their youngster to join a Ligue 2 side.

PSG are not alone in pursuing the striker. In France, Strasbourg, via Chelsea, and Marseille are also interested.
