PSG/OH Leuven – Paulo César over the moon after deserved win

Thursday evening, the women’s teams of Paris Saint-Germain and OH Leuven faced off at the PSG Campus on Matchday 2 of the 2026-2027 Women’s Champions League. After PSG’s 5-0 win (PSG/OH Leuven video highlights), Paris coach Paulo César spoke to PSG TV.

Paulo César: “This result was very important. The girls got it in style.”

“This result was very important. The girls got it in style. They were very efficient, and I think they performed well in every phase of the game. The team worked very well together. In front of our supporters, it was once again very positive, just like against Frankfurt. I hope we can keep going with the same mindset they showed on the pitch. I’m very satisfied and very proud of what the girls delivered today.

Paulo César: “I think the team worked extremely well together”

I know the girls have quality, both collectively and individually. Naomie had a very good match, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Sakina played in a wide position and had a very good match. There’s also Isabela, Tara… I think the team worked extremely well together, and the performance in this match was almost perfect. I’m very happy with what the team produced. They truly deserved this victory.”

The Paris coach can only be delighted after a match like this. There is the scoreline, of course, which is clearly positive. But there is also the overall performance that came with it. This was not a win that came through some unusual stroke of luck. The Parisian players delivered a complete performance, both in winning the ball back and in how they used it.

The team display was impressive, backed up by individuals in top form. It was a great evening that should serve them well going forward and help them build confidence. Without forgetting humility, of course, because there is still a lot to achieve this season. Especially with tougher matches still to come.
