Erick Pulgar has recovered from right thigh pain and has been cleared for Flamengo’s upcoming games, starting with Remo on Sunday.
According to Coluna Do Fla, scans showed only a bruise, with no muscle damage. Despite the all-clear, he did not take part in Friday’s on-pitch session.
The issue arose in a challenge with a Mirassol player at the Maracanã on Wednesday. He stayed on at first, then asked to be substituted later in the first half.
Before departing, the number five sparked the opening goal with an outside-of-the-boot pass that sent Samuel Lino away. Pedro then squared for Carrascal, who finished past Walter.
Pulgar is enjoying a strong spell at Flamengo and has extended his contract to the end of 2029.
Flamengo resumed training on Friday with focus on Remo. A decisive session is scheduled for Saturday before travelling to Belém, Pará.
The squad will then head straight to Quito to face Independiente del Valle in the Libertadores quarter-finals on Thursday.
Kick-off against Remo is at 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio Mangueirão.
