RAAL La Louviere loan young goalkeeper from Borussia Mönchengladbach | OneFootball

RAAL La Louviere have announced the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Tiago Pereira Cardoso on loan from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Luxembourg goalkeeper joins for just one season and there has been no mention of whether or not a purchase option has been included. Marcos Peano has been RAAL’s number one in goal for the past two seasons but his strong performances last year will have attracted some potential suitors this summer.

Pereira Cardoso has already been capped at senior level by the Luxembourg first team and two seasons ago he made his debut for Borussia Mönchengladbach. During the 2024/2025 campaign, the then teenage goalkeeper played five games for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga. Last season he was the sides first choice for Borussia Mönchengladbach II in the Regionalliga, playing 23 games. Clearly Borussia Mönchengladbach are hoping that Pereira Cardoso will get more game time with RAAL and perhaps this indicates that Peano will definitely be leaving this summer.
