Rafa Mir set for Aris loan as Sevilla ease wage cap and plan next moves | OneFootball

Sevilla are close to sending Rafa Mir on loan to Aris, easing their wage cap. According to La Colina De Nervion, the move is imminent and the striker will spend next season in Greece.

Mir would not forgo any of his salary, and limited interest led to a loan. The clubs will split his pay, Aris covering between 40 and 45 percent and Sevilla the rest.

Inside the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán it is seen as a major relief. Sevilla estimate it frees between two and two and a half million euros for the salary limit.

The player is already in Greece after judicial authorisation to live abroad while he awaits trial over an alleged sexual assault complaint. Official confirmation is expected within hours, and his Sevilla deal will expire when the loan ends.

Separately, Juanlu Sánchez left pre-season in the Netherlands to finalise a permanent move to Bournemouth. The agreement is €11 million plus up to €2 million in add-ons, and he will sign until 2030.

Exits for Mir, Juanlu and Akor Adams are letting Sevilla register new signings in LaLiga, among them Jon Guridi, Juan Iglesias, Arouna Sangante, Fran González, Julio Díaz and Odysseas Vlachodimos. Focus now shifts to recruiting a new centre forward.
