RB Leipzig unveil glow-in-the-dark jersey to debut against Dortmund | OneFootball

RB Leipzig will debut a new glow-in-the-dark jersey when they host Borussia Dortmund at Red Bull Arena on 21 February at 18:30 CET.

According to BuLi News, the men’s team will wear the special-edition shirt under the lights, launched with the tagline “Energised by Light. Activated By Night”.

The design features a pattern based on a map of Leipzig’s district, a city-wide motif intended to connect fans and players through a dynamic, urban look.

The shirt can be charged with UV light so it glows, making it an eye-catcher in the stadium and on night runs.

It is positioned as more than a fashion piece, described as a symbol of diversity, creativity and identity.

Built with Puma’s Ultraweave technology, it includes breathable mesh zones and an ergonomic fit suitable for professional football, whether on the pitch or at home.

Earlier in 2024, Leipzig’s first design statement with Puma was the ‘Jingle Jersey’, made entirely of red velvet.
