As we finally approach transfer deadline day, the future of Marc Casado has come in focus as the player is widely expected to leave Barcelona.

Casado is not a part of Hansi Flick’s plans for the new season and may not even find game-time if he remains at Barcelona.

The likes of Besiktas and Bayer Leverkusen are potential suitors for Casado heading into the transfer deadline day, with the player keen on playing at the highest level.

Real Betis make a late approach

According to El Chiringuito, Real Betis, too, have now joined the race to sign Marc Casado.

The La Liga outfit are reportedly eyeing a late swoop for Casado and have made contact with Barcelona.

Betis are ideally looking for a loan move for the young midfielder, who is coming on the back of a promising campaign under Flick.

Although Barcelona rate Casado highly, they simply do not have any role for him in the team, especially having signed Spanish world champion and national team captain, Rodri.

This has opened the opportunity for clubs like Betis to sign Casado, who is also on the radar of both Leverkusen and Besiktas.

Can Betis sign Casado?

The report seems to suggest Betis are looking for a loan deal to sign Marc Casado this summer, which is not too promising.

It must be noted that RB Leipzig had already given up pursuit of Casado in the past as Barcelona were not looking for a loan deal.

Things might repeat once again with Real Betis, although it will be interesting to see if Los Beticos manage to convince Barça with a mandatory buyout clause.

It must be noted that Leverkusen are also interested in the Spain midfielder, who in turn, is attracted by the idea of playing for Die Werkself.

With a little over 24 hours remaining before the transfer window slams to a shut, it will be interesting to see what the future has in store for Marc Casado.
