Muchodeporte reports that Real Betis have made an offer for Julian Brandt, and that his father visited sporting director Manu Fajardo.
The outlet cites club sources as confirming the bid, and says Betis are well stocked in his role with Isco, Giovani Lo Celso and Pablo Fornals, yet remain keen after finishing fifth in La Liga and qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Brandt is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund, where he spent the last seven years.
The attacking midfielder made 307 appearances, scored 57 goals and provided 70 assists for Dortmund, and has 48 Germany caps, the most recent in 2024.
Last season the 30-year-old produced 15 goal involvements in 41 matches, including nine Champions League appearances, as Dortmund finished second behind Bayern Munich.
Leeds are among several clubs linked with the former Bayer Leverkusen player, long regarded as a No. 10 option in a 4-2-3-1. They are also closing in on a free transfer for Harry Wilson, who will today become a free agent after his Fulham contract expired.
