Real Madrid ‘to agree’ €60m deal for Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella

Real Madrid are reported to have agreed a €60m deal with Chelsea to sign Marc Cucurella this summer, according to The Athletic.

The package is set at €55m guaranteed plus €5m in bonuses for the 27-year-old, who has three years left on his contract.

The move would address the left-back position, with Ferland Mendy’s future uncertain.

An undisputed starter at Chelsea, Cucurella was also courted this summer by his former club Barcelona and by Atlético Madrid.

He has been called up by Spain for the World Cup, scheduled for 11 June to 19 July. The full-back has 24 caps and one goal, and has made 163 appearances for Chelsea since joining in 2022, scoring nine.
