Régis Le Bris says he is not planning significant alterations to Sunderland’s backroom team this summer.
Sunderland Echo understands that academy goalkeeping coach Jonny Maddison could step up to work with the senior group as part of a restructure, with Neil Cutler remaining in charge of the department.
After last summer’s revamp, Luciano Vulcano arrived as assistant head coach, Isidre Ramón Madir as assistant coach and Cutler as goalkeeping coach. Long-serving Alessandro Barcherini was promoted to assistant alongside Michael Proctor, while James Brayne joined as a set-piece specialist in August.
Vulcano left earlier this season, and existing assistant head coach Pedro Ribeiro departed shortly before the Premier League campaign began.
Le Bris said: “At the minute, no, because I think we are really well connected both for the ideas and the way of working.”
He added: “And the evolution of the staff went really well the last four, five, six months, which connected with the evolution of the squad as well. So, I'm really pleased with that. If it's possible to improve some areas, we'll do it but at the minute, I'm really pleased.”
